Poppies 2024

Working with our partners, Balfour Beatty, I’m pleased to say the Roadside Poppies are back again this year. Poppies are painted on roundabouts for Remembrance Day to honour fallen soldiers and raise public awareness. The poppy, symbolised in the poem In Flanders Fields, represents the lives lost in war. Displaying poppies in public spaces like roundabouts ensures the remembrance message reaches a broad audience, fostering community reflection and respect for those who sacrificed their lives in service. It’s a visible and accessible way to commemorate soldiers from all conflicts, not just World War I.

The list of roundabouts are below where you will see the poppies.
